Project: Hotel Vermont
The 126-bedroom Hotel Vermont and Hen of the Wood Restaurant is proposed for a site on Cherry Street in Burlington, midway between the Church Street Marketplace and the City’s waterfront. The ground floor of the hotel is organized around a bar and lounge with outdoor seating on the South Terrace overlooking an interior courtyard with views of Lake Champlain beyond. The project is under construction, and is seeking LEED Silver Certification by the US Green Building Council.
The new Hotel Vermont will open 100 years after the original Hotel Vermont first welcomed guests on the corner of Main Street and St. Paul Street. The property will be locally developed, owned, and operated with design, construction, and management teams all Burlington-based. The Courtyard by Marriott Burlington Harbor Hotel is part of a larger mixed-use project in downtown Burlington, VT. Phase One of the hotel contains 127 guestrooms.
